Walleye Migration in the Shebeshekong River

In 2017 we restored migration routes for Walleye at a set of rapids and a waterfall that had been damaged by historic logging operations in the Shebeshekong River which is a tributary to Georgian Bay in Lake Huron. Effectiveness of the two fish passage restoration projects will be assessed with a before-after-control impact study from 2017-2024. The work was conducted in association with the Eastern Georgian Bay Stewardship Council and Bruce Power.
