Dam and Weir Bio-monitoring

We have nearly a decade of experience monitoring effects of dams and weirs on fish and other wildlife. We use remote monitoring techniques such as radio telemetry, acoustic telemetry, physiological telemetry as well as overhead and underwater videography to unobtrusively observe animals. We also use active and passive capture techniques to collect and enumerate study organisms. Experienced teams of technicians collect and analyze data, and a proven team of scientists prepare reports and scientific papers. By understanding effects of barriers to fish migration, and the effects of different types of habitats that exist upstream and downstream from river barriers, we can suggest strategies that selectively increase permeability, and imperceptibility of such migration barriers.
