BLACK REDHORSE (Moxostoma duquesnei) HATCHERY DATA

 

LOCATION:  Hidden Valley, Grand River, Ontario, Canada

CURRENT CONDITIONS: Overwintering wavy-rayed lampmussels, black redhorse and smallmouth bass inoculated with wavy-rayed lampmussel glochidia


 

 

STREAMING REAL-TIME WATER TEMPERATURES:
Juvenile over-wintering black redhorse: 22.50 
Wavy-rayed lampmussels and inoculated smallmouth bass (Replicate 1): 22.93 
Wavy-rayed lampmussels and inoculated smallmouth bass (Replicate 2): 22.93  

 

 


Previous hatchery conditions:  Black redhorse eggs in hatchery on May 24 2008
Swim-up in hatchery began June 8-11 2008, larvae emerged from gravel in

Tanks 1,2,3 & 5 (warm water replicates) 

June 18 - larvae emerged from Tanks 6-10 (river temperature replicates), protolarvae observed in cold water replicates (Tanks 11-15) on June 21
