Groundwater and Species at Risk (Pilot Study)
 

We designed a simple choice experiment to demonstrate the relationship between groundwater seepages and persistence of threatened black redhorse (Moxostoma duquesnei) populations in the Grand River, Ontario.  Using a randomized block design we are testing habitat preferences relative to the influence of groundwater for juvenile black redhorse and greater redhorse (Moxostoma valenciennesi).
